Enough

poem by: Alice Inwonderland

We change like the seasons. So unsure of who we are and even more so of what we want. One moment, we are elated, the next desolate. Unable to determine what has led us on this craze infused path. In love, its glory consumes us, our heart emoted eyes vibrate towards its source, our thumping brains gesticulate that we are happy, infatuated to love beyond all doubt…

Who is this human inside me, so confused and misunderstood? It is not I, though it speaks to me. This world I live in, I do not know, and it does not know me. Toy soldiers they play, a dream I must be living, a nightmare…this cannot be the way. I scream inside my head when I see what I see in front of me….don’t you? I scream even harder thinking of you, not screaming like me. At least they do not know any different. Standing alone like a feeble giant, how do we change this place that we have become? How do we stand outside ourselves and say...”Enough.”

Every mind houses multiple personas. Every person has multiple perspectives. Mental Debates happen all the time, passively and knowingly as well. I'd know the feeling, for my mind is a teaparty whose host I am. Much liked, Alice. -T
