Escaping Guilt

Voices beckon me
and their songs enthrall
Music, suddenly 
comforts my soul...

Silence within
echoes in my brain
whispering rhythm
of passion, of pain -

Strange dreams and nightmares
darken my nights
Eyes that coldly stare
deny me of lights

But the sweet voices
keep calling my name,
"Ignore the noises,
You are not to blame!"
