Sadness

poem by: Valerie Russon
Written on Oct 09, 2017

I wake up every morning
I look into my mirror
What do i see
SADNESS
My eyes are filled with pain
But can i cry
To to let what hurts me inside
Sadness does not want me to be happy
For me to be loved
or even to show a smile
And yet in my heart
I know that love
Will prevail
and my sadness will slide away
And that the love i have will definitely shine through.

Good poem, a battle of despair and hope

Mornings can be a tough time. I can identify with this poem.

For your sake.....don't let sadness win....still the poem makes one think...
