It's In The Night

poem by: Cecilia Crasto
Written on May 27, 2017

It's in the night that the voices speak
Soft as the breath of angels
Stilling our minds calming our fears
And sprinkling stardust on dreams.
It's in the night that the lonely bird sings
As he waits for the coming of dawn
A song of plaintive beauty
Disturbing night's tranquility.
It's in the night that a lonely heart cries
For a love that can never be
But He who clothes the lilies pure
Will also help the heart to endure.
It's in the night that Satan comes
To gather souls for his Kingdom
He'll lure and tempt with evil intent
And lead them into darkness.

Joy-the rising sun bright, illuminating
Creeping in to chase away shadows
Encompassing the world with warmth
And the heart ascends with the bird.

Beautiful, I was there. Beautiful imageray. I thought it was passionate and you expressed that without going over board! It was wonderful even though not usually my cup of tea and I was surprised and I love it.
