Our little planet

This planet that we live on , a dot in outer space
Some people on it , don't belong to the human race
Dictators , politicians , murderers ,kings and queens
They cannot live without power and extract it by any means

Thank god I'm just passing through a smaller dot am i
I would not want to live forever, i could give you many reasons why
So much suffering , oppression ,cruelty and hate
That's just in one news bulletin each morning before eight

These leaders think they are above us all , that's where mankind has gone wrong

It's true people need guidance in life ,but to many are just dragged along

No respect earned , is a result of none being shown
Give people direction let them know where we are going

Until attitudes change and people learn to trust
Only will our lives improve and not be so unjust
From politics to religion it really gives me the bird
Everybody's shouting , but the real people are never heard .

It made me think, which I loved. It rhymed well and was really honest. Everything stated is sadly true.
Steven Godfrey commented:
Thanks Allison , appreciate your kind words , I just write down what's in my head but also from my heart

This poem is so true to the word......life is so easy .....people complicate, and abuse it........
