The Key

There is a gateway to my heart
And it is you that holds the key
It didn’t take me long to realise 
That you are the one for me

We’ve had our ups and downs
But come through stronger in the end
You are my rock through good times and bad
My lover and my friend

We’ve had our fair share of disapproval
And found out who our true friends are
Good friends who are worth their weight in gold
Whether they live near or far

It took so long to meet my soulmate
And you know that it is you
In this life and the hereafter
You know that our love is true

It was fate that brought us together
And I hope we'll never part
Because it’s only you that holds the key
To the gateway to my heart
