Robin Redbreast...

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on Mar 11, 2017

"She visits the place, where her father lies peacefully at rest,
suddenly there on his grave stone, appeared a robin redbreast,
could this be a sign? lovingly sent by her dear old dad,
telling his poor grieving daughter, "please girl, don't be too sad,
"Just leave me in peace, but think of me when life becomes a test,"
" and I will appear unto you, as a little robin Redbreast."

Thanks Maria, and Nicho.....the girl in the poem saw the Robin, his favourite little bird, and thought it was a sign from her dad.......I sent my poem to the Liverpool Echo...local paper......she read it, loved it, and had it engraved, and fitted to her dads grave stone....which I thought was lovely.....thanks again for reading my poem.....
