A Sinner's End

poem by: Denise Collier
Written on Jan 18, 2017

The day I came into this world,
A sinner I was born.
No one taught me what to do,
An expert from the start.

I would share my sins with you,
But that would take all day.
The guilt and shame, they also came,
A product of the name.

Let's not forget the ones I hurt,
Those choices I would make.
Selfishness would rule my life,
A blind eye to their pain.

All those things to please me first,
Not caring what the cost.
Then one day, my ending came,
Forever with the lost.
