RAGE

poem by: John Prophet
Written on Jan 06, 2017

Rage rage against
the gale.
Rage rage against
the dark.
Rage rage against
the gods

Our time in this
existence is short.
Get up off knees
and make
something happen.

Leave a mark
to be remembered
long after your gone.
That's what
makes a difference.

Get up off your knees,
and rage against
inevitability.

Good! An emotion preferable to the more common hopelessness that we often read. 'Do not go gentle into that good night' - [Dylan Thomas]

Hi Geoffrey, Thank you for reading my poem and for your generous comment. Peace
Cecilia Crasto commented:
A really good message, this life is only a journey, in a blink of an eye it's over, so we have to live each day trying to do the best we can and to live in peace and harmony with each other.
Christopher Russon commented:
Lovely poem with a powerful message.
