Strawberries

You ever wish for something
To hope with all your heart
Or fight an uphill battle
That you know you shouldnt start

What if that something
Isnt really good for you
Though you want with all your heart
Think you deserve it too

I think it like an allergy
You want it simply because
You've never had it
So the idea of it was all it was

Im allergic to strawberries
I always think they'll taste sweet
But then i have one and they're bitter
And something i should rarely eat

I think that what love is
Something I've built up in my head
One taste of it and i remember
Too much and I'll get sick instead
