Hurting

poem by: Jay Shades
Written on Oct 18, 2016

I am hurting inside of my brain
Impaired by an uncontrollable distain
A mental addiction can be disturbing
Others praying i go insane
God helps me when an hurting,
No matter how awful things appear,
Even though i doubt whats happening,
And quick to abandon faith for something unclear .
With hope springs new joy
Every effort made is greeted with a cheer ,
Living like nothing can destroy
This anonymous cure
Washing away negativity leaving me pure.
