The little things in life.

poem by: Christopher Russon

If you don't have a job anymore.
Or own a car like you did before
Then there are new pastures to explore
Where those little things in life mean a lot .

Like a walk in the town
Or a stroll through the park
Where you can watch the children play
Or listen to a lark.

Things can easily get you down
Or even grind you to the ground
But there is no need to weep or frown
When those little things in life mean a lot.

Take the kids to the zoo
Or a trip to the sea
Where the punch and judy man
Puts on shows for free.

It's so good to be a live
At 26 or even 65
And you know you will survive
When those little things in life mean a lot.

Like a hand to hold
Or a heart of gold
Where you can come into the warmth
Out from the cold.

Then you will know the time will come
We will fade like the evening sun
But till then please everyone
Let those little things in life mean a lot.
