The flame that never dies.

poem by: Christopher Russon

Without your love
I am a bird without wings .
Without your love
I am a violin without strings .
Without your love
I am a song without words .
Without your love
I am the wind without a breeze .
Without your love
I am a night without the stars
Without your love
I am the sun that never shines
But with your love
I am the flame that never dies.

eat pooem about the significance of love in our lives ! The repetition of "Without your love" adds power and meaning to the subject if the poem ! In my opinion it is a good definition of True Love ! Thanks for sharing - JOHN

Christopher, this is a great poem for a wife or girlfriend. I have read all of your poems and found them to be exceptionally well written. My favorite is "The Cemetery" but I also enjoyed "Two Fold". I would like to pick your brain on how you write. You remind me of William Carlos William, you can create a poem out of something simple and give it color. Keep writing.
Christopher Russon commented:
Thank you for your lovely comment. I find it hard to write deep poems. I started writing seriously at Christmas time. I have read some of your poems Well written with depth.a key that I am looping for. I may write a deep one one day.

Yes, in our youth we sing about the One - when that One gone - the task is to sing about All, I know it will be an easy transition to a man who writes such touching heartfilled poem.

Love and respect can't be bought only earned. This wondeful poem reminds me how fragile we are without it. Thanks for a lovely poem!
