Scars

poem by: Alice Inwonderland
Written on Feb 07, 2016

I pick it off,
It disappears,
It’s gone now,
With all my fears

I look at the space,
Where it once was,
Do I miss it?
I do, because…

It helped me,
This hate,
This sadness,
This fate,

What now do I strive for?
I cry for?
I lie for?

It helped me,
This hole,
This secret,
This cold,

What now do I pray for?
I try for?
I why for?

I picked it off,
It disappears,
It’s gone now,
Bring back my fear.

Well written poem with depth.
Sun Chaser commented:
Reminds me of that human tendency,to seek out tragedy so one can feel normal. Enjoyed!
Alice inwonderland commented:
Exactly Sun chaser...our anxieties and fears allow us to grasp for hope..therefore can one really know hope without the contrast? Just a thought..
