Winter

             Winds shift leaves fall,
day are short and nights are long.

The sky is blue, but the clouds are
white, temperatures drop for a cold
             crisp night.

Trees stand tall bearing nothing at all,
embracing rain, sleet, and snow, what
             winter cause.

Seasons change from winter to spring,
oh what warmth the sun will bring.

Winter, winter is my favorite time of year,
because Thanksgiving and Christmas will be
             near.

I love this poem! It gives me a vision of cozy nights with cup of coffee! Reminded me of a Christmas spent in Bass Lake. My kids and I waited for snow...then it came Christmas morning. It was the best Christmas I've ever had! Thank you for sharing.

Natures beauty you've exposed. And a time for Christmas you enclosed. In a flowing rhythm well composed. Thank you kindly
