Phases

poem by: D'Vina Dietrich
Written on Apr 22, 2015

She was like the moon.
It shone through her eyes;
Straight upon the dark.
But.. Even the brightest stars could not see..
Or so they never tried..
Her light was diminishing.
She was changing growing cold.
A full moon, now only half.
Slowly to a crescent... Then nothing.
Her smile yet remained
But her eyes grew dark, lifeless.
All brightness was now drained.
She felt dull, she felt nothing.
Lost in space...
Yet no one noticed,
When the moon disappeared.

Milton Robertson commented:
Tragic when no one notice you or care. So you think and that's a tragedy when you give up too quick and some one do care, you look but you don't see that love is starring you right in the face. Tragic. Nice Poem D'Vina sad but Good.

Beautiful poetry. Interesting metaphor but really fit beautifully with the story you were to tell.

I can find no other words, but perfect and well put
Roxanne Dubarry commented:
She resembled the moon. You compare her to the moon's cycles. She started out as a full moon, and ended up as a crescent. She became lifeless, and was lost in space. "Yet no one noticed, When the moon disappeared." I am sorry for your loss!
