You Will Survive

poem by: D'Vina Dietrich
Written on Apr 20, 2015

Look at you just a child.
Playing around, smiling.
Like a untamed animal.. so wild.

You don't know what is ahead of you,
Just enjoy this moment.
Go ahead kick off your shoes.

I see how you ignore the crazy.
You don't understand though,
You are jus a baby.

Soon you'll see everything,
But don't let it change you.
Keep away the chaos and pain.

Something I should of done.
This life is unbearable,
Never was there time for fun.

Please don't be like me,
It's a ugly way to live.
Can't you see?

I want you to be happy.
Embrace life, and succeed
Truth is life isnt to sappy.

I took the wrong trail.
My life is dark, it's scary
I am just a big fail.

You're young, still got a chance.
I will guide you,
You'll never enter my trance.

As long as im alive,
I'll make sure you remain pure
Be happy, you will survive.

jus=just. It's okay. im=I'm. Typos, or creative poetry? The younger generation needs to be guided by their elders. My own life has taken many wrong trails!

Sad and honest, like a fallen soul that has found a reason to stand again.
